Legal is the industry AI answers most often
According to Semrush's analysis of more than 10 million keywords, 78% of legal queries now trigger a Google AI Overview, the highest rate of any industry (PR Newswire, 2026). SE Ranking's separate research puts YMYL legal queries at 77.67%. If someone asks an AI system a legal question in your practice area, there's a strong chance they get an AI-generated answer before they see a list of websites. Whether your firm is part of that answer depends on the same technical basics the free check looks at.
Law firms are also disproportionately exposed on the NAP-consistency side: regulated professionals are listed across the Law Society, local directories, review sites, and chambers pages, and any mismatch in name, address, or phone number is exactly the kind of inconsistency that makes an AI system less confident citing you.
We'll never promise you'll rank in ChatGPT or get cited by AI Overviews. Nobody controls that, and any tool that says otherwise is selling you something. What we can do is fix everything on your end: that's the whole deal.
